Later, I became interested in Asian cosmetics and began to use a 2-step cleaning system and multi-step care in parallel with acids. As a result, in the winter of 2012/13 I received incredibly dehydrated skin with decreased tone, thinned and reacting to everything with rashes and subcutaneous lesions.

In search of something radically new in care, I came across dry Russian cosmetics from several manufacturers. I decided to try Novosibirsk Wolshba because I tried Bio-Beauty before and I didn’t like the result and because I studied with them remotely at the School of Cosmetology (I didn’t finish my studies, there was a lot of work). To begin with, I bought 2 types of cleansing powder (Healing and Gentle), one dry mask (Anti-inflammatory) and Chamomile tonic from them. In addition to these products, only 1 moisturizing Korean cream-gel and a Korean film mask remained in the care (this cosmetics, although created on the basis of traditional oriental plants, has nothing to do with organics). The effect manifested itself within a week: skin tone was restored due to tightened pores, inflammation began to heal rapidly.

The care plan looked like this:

In the morning, wipe your face with a cotton pad soaked in Chamomile tonic and apply a moisturizing cream-gel.

In the evening, remove makeup with a cotton pad soaked in apricot kernel oil or Darphin cleansing milk, apply Healing Cleansing for 1 minute, wipe the face with Chamomile toner and apply a moisturizing cream-gel.

Every other day, in the evening between cleansing and toner, I applied a dry anti-inflammatory mask.

Once a week, a cleansing film mask.

Cleaning powders contain zeolite, mud from Altai lakes, mountain salt, propolis, mumiyo and herbs in various combinations.

The anti-inflammatory mask is about the same, but there are clearly more herbs in it. Using all this is quite convenient if you adapt a suitable container, such as a small 5 ml measuring spoon and a small vase for the sauce in which I mix it all.

I read in reviews that some people have a period of getting used to the products, during which inflammation “comes out” of the skin, but I didn’t experience anything like that. Cleaning does not cause the slightest discomfort, only a slight warming and tingling sensation is felt. I also apply it under my eyes. The main thing is not to leave it on the skin for more than 1 minute and not to rub your face when rinsing it off.

I spent a couple of months in this mode, I never used soapy products, the skin was completely restored, the rashes disappeared, the general tone was restored and, in general, all the problems disappeared. But then my Korean cream-gel ran out, it remained the same, but just a cream, with a denser texture, and it didn’t work at all. I started rushing around again, tried several different brands, but the problem from all of them was the same: after cleansing, the face is pleasantly matte, the pores are narrowed, the skin color is excellent, but as soon as you apply the cream, the pores expand in front of your eyes, in the center of each pore there is a gray speck, the face loses dullness and velvety, skin color is not even. What kind of evil magic is this?

A few more days later I ran out of cleaning powders and, while collecting an order on the website, I decided to top up the amount until free delivery with some “mousse for morning skin awakening.” The manufacturer advises not to use anything after this. The mousse contains a decoction of rose hips, currants, birch, shea butter, juices of cherries, lingonberries, Kalanchoe, raspberries, wax, sea salt, clay, pea flakes, oats, rice, millet and barley. At the same time, the jar is not airtight, and there are no preservatives; the shelf life is 1 year. Mystery, is it salt here as a preservative? The mousse is in the form of a viscous mass, reminiscent of thick honey, and indeed leaves the skin not completely dry, but not greasy either, just pleasantly moisturized. At the same time, I discovered MRC brand Kiehl's (this is a mixture of essential and base oils, in principle, you can also mix it yourself) and their cleansing mask based on diatomaceous earth (this product is still not organic, the composition sings and dances, but satisfies my needs and is indispensable for now) In general, since May, skin care began to look like this:

In the morning, apply mousse for morning cleansing, rinse it off, apply hyaluronic tonic (bought on iherb) and a small amount of unrefined shea butter under the eyes.

In the evening, remove makeup with oil or cleansing milk, use Optimal cleanser, apply Geltek pectin moisturizing gel to the entire face, apply 5 drops of MRC Kiehl's, shea butter under the eyes.

The funds ran out in mid-August, there was no time to place an order between trips, so I decided to try to make do on my own. I made a powder for washing like ubtan. Ingredients: Valdai blue clay (sold at the Rigla pharmacy), oatmeal, chamomile, nettle and sage crushed in a blender (all from the pharmacy) and sea salt. Everything is by eye, sorry. In the evening I dilute the powder with water and wash my face with the resulting paste, and in the morning I add a few drops of argan oil and water to the dry powder, so after washing off my face does not need cream. I regularly use organic shea butter under my eyes, the thin skin under my eyes is my weak point, and besides, I play sports and spend a lot of time outside.

From all this, I concluded that the obsessive recommendation to every woman to use face cream is marketing. And that in reality the cream is really only needed for skin with a damaged hydro-lipid layer. And that washing with surfactant products undoubtedly disrupts this layer and leads to the need for cream, thus the consumer is introduced into a vicious circle. I won’t say that I now have perfect Photoshop skin, no, the ordinary skin of an ordinary person, but there are far fewer problems with it than with normal, generally accepted care.

Finally - me without makeup and my assistants :) You can see a couple of “imperfections” on your face, this is a gift from the sea and the sun, this is always the reaction.

What are sulfates?

Sulfates are salts that are derivatives of sulfuric acid. For the production of cosmetics, ammonium and sodium lauryl sulfates, as well as laureth sulfates, are most often used. The most dangerous and popular of them:

1. Sodium lauryl sulfate or laurel is a petroleum product.
2. Ammonium lauryl sulfate or laureth – ALS and ALES.

What are they used for?

The widespread use of parabens in cosmetics is easily explained by their ability to extend shelf life.

Parabens prevent mold and germs from growing in cosmetics.

The use of sulfates in face cream may cause allergies.

Such components are allowed in minimal concentrations only in wash-off products. Sulfates are found in almost any foaming product. Their main purpose is foaming and washing away various types of contaminants. Possible health hazards

Scientists are confident that parabens are similar in their effects to estrogens.. This means that their use may be hazardous to human health, especially when estrogen is contraindicated (for example, during pregnancy). Propyl-, butyl-, isobutyl-, and also methylparaben have a pronounced estrogen-like effect.

Often, when taking care of their skin, women try to sunbathe less, because ultraviolet radiation is the enemy of youth. According to research, applying methylparaben to the skin can have a negative effect and also increase the effect of UV rays.

It turns out that such a preservative not only accelerates the aging process, but is also harmful to health, causes allergies and inflammation. But at minimal concentrations, parabens should not cause harm. The permissible content is 0.4-0.8%, but scientists say that 0.19% is enough.

Sodium lauryl sulfate is considered a true skin irritant. Scientists have proven this. This substance can only be added to rinse-off products.

1% concentration of the component in the composition does not cause changes on the skin. And such components should not be in the composition of the face cream, otherwise irritation and allergic reactions are guaranteed.
