Throughout a person’s life, this cycle is repeated 20 to 25 times, and with each hair replacement, the hair papillae rise and become less protected, which explains changes in the condition of the hair with age.

The health and structure of hair is influenced by many factors, both external and internal. The way hair looks is largely influenced by the sufficient supply of nutrients to the scalp. The work of the sebaceous glands also affects the appearance of the hair. A Brief History of My Hair

All my life I have had beautiful, thick, long (below my shoulder blades) and undyed hair. Until the moment when I decided to dye it, and it was several shades lighter than mine (from 5 to 9). This was the first blow to my hair, the ends began to weaken, the hair began to fade and lose its healthy appearance. The next blow is stress at the institute, poor nutrition and other pleasures of life. This is where things got really sad. The hair simply broke off. The view was terrible, so I decided to cut off everything unhealthy, I had to cut my hair so that my hair only slightly covered my shoulders. Their former thickness is gone, they have become thinner! This went on for a year, my hair didn’t grow back and then I decided to take it on!! Now I have returned to its previous thickness, stopped dyeing it, improved care, and my hair is growing back smooth and healthy!

For basic care I have basic rules:

1. The main shampoo is organic, only occasionally I use shampoos with sls, and only to wash out silicones.

2. I always use conditioner! This makes your hair easier to comb and less tangled.

3. I make ready-made masks 2 times a week after washing my hair.

4. I make homemade masks from oils 2 times a week.

5. Comb your hair only with a natural bristle comb and a tangle teaser.

6. I take hair vitamins once every 3 months.

7. At home I try to wear a braid or another style that is pulled back.

8. Minimum contact with hair dryer, curling iron and other thermal equipment.

9. Hair cutting once every 2.5 months (this is an approximate time, I look more accurately at the condition of the hair)

Hair washing! Shampoos, conditioners and masks

This process is indispensable for everyone! It’s worth starting with the fact that after studying the composition of all the shampoos on store shelves, I was convinced that we simply do not have natural shampoos. And for me this is a fairly important indicator. Therefore, after reading the reviews, I began to try to purchase the most gentle shampoos, and now I have completely switched to products from the Iherb website. They contain much less harmful chemicals than those shampoos that are in our stores. Although I read somewhere that if you use hair products with silicones, they are washed out only with “chemical” shampoos, so I use this shampoo once a week (I don’t know how true this is, if you have experience, write in the comments) . I wash my hair once every 2-3 days.


Before applying shampoo, I wet my hair very thoroughly. I apply shampoo ONLY to the roots and to the middle (or maybe less) of the hair. Even if I made an oil mask, then only before rinsing off the shampoo, I spread the foam over the ends. I definitely use conditioner after shampoo; it is advisable that they are from the same series with the shampoo, so they will interact more effectively. Then I use a ready-made mask (2-3 times a week). I change masks periodically so that my hair doesn’t get used to it. But recently I found a mask that won me over. My hair really started to grow, and the quality has only gotten better; perhaps many have already heard about it - the nibian mask. (Details about it)

Homemade oil mask!

I make this mask myself from any available means - now I have selected the optimal composition and periodically change 1-2 oils. The main components are coconut oil, shea butter, argan oil, jojoba oil. Previously (and sometimes now) I added apricot, burdock, castor, and peach oils. I mix all this (about 1 teaspoon at a time) and heat it in the microwave or in a water bath until all the ingredients become liquid! I apply all this to the roots and ends, put on a shower cap (you can also wrap a warm towel over it) and walk like this for at least an hour! Then I wash it with shampoo 2 times and that’s it! The effect for me is simply amazing, although for visible results you need to do this mask for at least a month!

Drying your hair!

I try to dry my hair naturally, although it rarely happens, so I try to use thermal protection. Since my hair is usually in a tangled state after washing (unless I comb it out while washing, when I make a mask), I comb it almost immediately after I take it off towel, I try to do this as carefully as possible, gradually combing out from the ends and above. And I leave them to dry in this form, or I style them. At this moment I apply various products for split ends, for easy combing and hair treatment (for example, this hydrophilic oil in the form of a mousse).


Styling and hairstyles!

I really love doing all kinds of styling and hairstyles! But no matter how it affects your hair, you have to look for harmless options and tricks! For example, before I always did curls with a curling iron, but now I switched to magic laverege curlers, of course it takes a little more time, but by the way I like the result much better! The curls are very smooth, unlike curls made with a curling iron, and there is no heat treatment, which allows you to maintain healthy hair!

If I still have to use a curling iron or iron, then I select the desired temperature. To straighten my hair, I set the temperature to the lowest setting, since my hair lends itself well to straightening (on my straightener it’s 180 degrees). For curls and more complex hairstyles that require long lasting power, I use a higher temperature, but reduce the exposure time on the hair.

If I do brushing, I set the hair dryer to medium temperature, and at the end it’s completely cool.

Combs and elastic bands!


I have long given my preference in this matter to combs made of natural bristles! I usually use a large round comb, which sometimes has teeth in addition to natural bristles (regular bristles do not comb the hair properly). For me, this comb is good because it gives my hair a healthy shine and it gently combs my hair without tearing or breaking it!

Another type of comb is a tangle teezer, which I usually use to spread masks through my hair. She does this smoothly, combing them out at the same time! Sometimes I comb my dry hair with it, but only because it’s more convenient to carry in my bag!

I don’t use elastic bands often, but when I do, it’s mostly invissiboboole. I really liked them, I bought myself a set of 3 pieces in a transparent color and I use them whenever necessary, they are very convenient! Also, due to their material, they damage the hair less (there are no metal transitions). But you have to be careful when you take them off, they don’t glide through your hair so well, so you need to hold your hair so as not to damage it! Supporting beauty from within!

Undoubtedly, hair (and skin) health must be ensured from the inside. It is necessary to consume enough vitamins and minerals in food. For these purposes, I drink flaxseed oil every morning (more details here) and take vitamins once every 3 months. As a rule, these are specialized vitamins for hair. I don’t have a specific favorite, but here are the ones I tried: Alerana, Vitasharm, Complivit Radiance, Inev (I didn’t notice any effect from them at all). Vitamins are certainly great, but I still try to think through my diet more and get all the necessary vitamins from there!

Hair cutting and coloring!

For healthy hair, this is simply a must-have process! Because everyone's hair splits! And when you don’t cut them, they just fall off! That's why I try to cut them once every 2 months. Each time you just renew the ends, the more it stimulates hair growth.

I dye my hair very rarely (once every 3 months). But I really like the effect after painting! Hair automatically takes on a very healthy look. This has a very good effect on the quality of my hair, the dye “covers” all the hair scales, which makes it smooth and manageable, but the hair does not become thinner or fall out. I usually paint at home, but with professional paint (permesse), since I paint almost my own color (I just choose a golden tone, and my natural one is light brown), I do not use a strong oxidizing agent. Perhaps this is why the hair is not damaged.
