Master class “Sheep” using quilling technique. Completed by the teacher of GBOU secondary school No. 1056 Bozyukova Eleonora Valentinovna

Program content: Teach children: Teach children to twist parts from strips of paper. Develop coordination in the work of both hands. Develop fine motor skills of the hands. Learn to assemble parts into a single whole. Learn to work carefully. Teach children to finish what they start.

Materials and tools. For work we will need: White paper A-4 Scissors Cardboard A-5 Color. pencils PVA glue

Technology and sequence of work:

Let's prepare a sheep template. Cut it out and paste it onto cardboard

Take a sheet of paper and line it 0.5 cm.

Cut into strips

We take one strip, we will twist a spiral from it, so that it is more convenient for children to do this, you can use a match with a slot.

It turns out to be an open spiral, remove it from the match, you can fix the end with glue, or you can leave it like that.

We make several such preparations.

We assemble the blanks on the template. Fix with glue. We tint the background using colored pencils.

On the topic: methodological developments, presentations and notes

Recently, in the practice of preschool institutions, they began to use one of the types of arts and crafts - quilling or paper rolling. Having become acquainted with the simplest elements of quill...

Quilling is an unusual type of paper art, very popular today. Using this technique, you can create a lot of stylish souvenirs and interesting things: paintings, figurines, boxes, postcards. Beginners should start by making: flowers, panels, snowflakes, postcards, animal figurines. It is quite easy to learn this art, and things created with your own hands will delight the eye for a long time. In addition, such crafts can be a good addition to a holiday gift.

The World Wide Web is the repository of a lot of information, including step-by-step instructions for making crafts with your own hands. In this article you can read about a master class on making an animal such as a sheep using the quilling technique for beginners.

Take one strip of paper and roll it into a tight circle, also called a “roll” (see picture 1). Secure the tip with glue. Level your workpiece. Afterwards, carefully press your fingers into the middle, gradually “squeezing out” the paper. As a result, you will get a cone (see picture 1). Lubricate the reverse side of the already “extruded” roll with glue.

Take 6 more strips. Roll them into a roll and spread them until the length becomes 2 cm (loose circle). Pinch the paper on one side. The result will be a “Drop” shape (see picture 1). Then secure the ends with glue.

So that you can better understand how all parts of the future product should look, I bring to your attention a diagram of basic forms for quilling.

Round the ends of the two “Drops” - these are the ears. And squeeze the remaining 4 things tightly at the base. These will be the legs of the sheep.

To create a figurine you will need:

About materials: First you need to deal with the paper. You can use a regular A4 sheet and, having lined it into equal lines of 0.5 mm, cut it. However, this is a rather long process, so if possible, buy quilling paper (sold only in specialized stores). It is already cut into thin strips and is much more convenient to use. So, let's begin!

It's time to tackle the sheep's coat. Take a brush and twist a strip onto it. It's better to start from the middle. After you have rolled the paper all the way, go back to the center and go to another one. You will get an interesting curl (No. 3 in the picture). Make 7 more of the same. You can experiment and choose any other shape. For example, “Horns”.

Let's start gluing! In order for the sheep to please you for as long as possible, you should use not only glue, but also tape to make it. The side parts should really be attached with glue, but the middle of the work is better secured with tape (since the paper is very thin).

The sheep is almost ready. All that remains is to glue on the eyes and decorate it at your discretion. You can also add a few more interesting details (grass, flowers, snow, clouds):

All! This is how you can quickly and easily make a sheep figurine yourself. Even beginners in quilling can handle this! And so that you get inspired and don’t stop, I’m attaching a few more photos with interesting ideas:

And several three-dimensional figures of sheep.

In today's master class you will learn how to make a toy for the Christmas tree using the quilling technique - the symbol of the outgoing year - a sheep. Making it won’t take you much time, but in return it will bring a lot of New Year’s mood. You can do this work with children, it is very useful for developing hand motor skills.

To make a homemade Christmas tree, you will need the following materials:

— Multi-colored markers;
- PVA glue;
- Scissors;
— Jar lid;
— Quilling paper;
- A thread.

Let's start making toys for the Christmas tree:

To begin, cut white office paper into half-centimeter strips and twist them into loose spirals. We put them in a lid in several rows and coat them with PVA glue. We repeat this several times so that the spirals become tightly glued together. To make it quicker, you can use a hairdryer to dry the parts.

From several loose rolls we glue the sheep’s head together as shown in the photo.

We glue the head to the body and, for reliability, once again coat the entire part with PVA glue.

Glue the eyes to the toy.

Then we tie a thread on which the toy will hang on the tree, you can also tie a satin ribbon or serpentine.

That's all, our New Year's tree toy is ready!

This craft will decorate your holiday tree and bring a lot of Christmas cheer to your home.

Guys, guess the name of the technique for working with paper using a rebus.

Well done! Who understood what this word was?

Is it familiar to us?

Who heard it before?

Set goals for yourself.

Well done!

What are we going to do today?

Right!

Look who came to visit us!

Fine! Yes, it's a lamb! Guys

Who is this worth?
In the middle of the lawn?
“Be” says for some reason,
And in a fluffy T-shirt?
It's like someone screwed it up
The wool is in his rings,

And he became completely curly

The sheep's brother.

Guys, let's remember, what kind of sheep?

Well done! And rams and sheep also have an amazing ability to recognize their shepherd. When the flock is driven to a watering place, many sheep are mixed there. However, when the shepherd calls his sheep, they all move away from the water and move on to the pasture. It is very rare for someone else’s sheep to wander into the wrong flock. This only happens due to ear or eye diseases.

They draw up a plan to achieve the goal and determine the means (algorithm, model, action.)

Well done! You almost got it right! Today we will decorate lamb fur with paper using the quilling technique.

Guys, listen to what our guest will tell you about this technique.

Paper rolling(also quilling English. quilling - from the word quill (bird feather)) - the art of making flat or three-dimensional compositions from long and narrow strips of paper twisted into spirals. Flowers and patterns are created from paper spirals, which are then usually used to decorate cards, albums, gift wrapping, and photo frames.  Art came to Russia from Korea. It is also popular as a hobby in Germany, England and America. Quilling is also called "paper filigree". This is a simple and very beautiful type of needlework that does not require large expenses.  Paper ribbon products can also be used as wall decorations or even costume jewelry.

- Maybe we should give him a gift?

Should we decorate his fur?

An excellent option for beginner paper rollers. Kids will love this cute paper sheep and will be a wonderful decoration for a child’s room as a panel, a three-dimensional craft or a picture in a frame. Combinations of monochromatic images will complement the hallway or kitchen, and one small one will be appropriate even in the bathroom.

Master class on the template

The materials that you will need to realize the idea are included in the standard set of elements necessary for working with the quilling technique:

  • paper tapes - width about 5 mm
  • twisting tool
  • scissors
  • pattern with circles
  • thick cardboard as a base for crafts

In this case, you cannot do without a template of the selected animal. You can draw it by hand or print a ready-made version from those offered.

Step-by-step instruction:

  1. Cut out the outline of the animal and paint the face and legs. Then it will be inconvenient to do this.
  2. Glue the blank onto the cardboard and separate the excess parts of the base to obtain the final shape.
  3. The main figure that will be used in decoration is a free spiral.
  4. Depending on the size of the lamb, make 10-20 rolls of different sizes from white stripes.
  5. If you need identical elements, a template ruler with circles will come in handy.
  6. Be sure to secure the edge of each piece with glue.
  7. To glue the “curls,” quilling masters recommend using double-sided tape, but simple PVA will do.
  8. Now let's make eyes from tight rolls. To do this, glue the ends of one black ribbon and two white ones. Start twisting with the dark one - it will be the pupil.
  9. If the template you make does not imply the presence of legs on the animal, create them from loose spirals in the shape of an “arrow”. Ears are “droplets”.
  10. It is better to plan your hair out of smaller “curls” than those used for the body.

You've done it. Well done!

Other options for simply creating lambs using the quilling method

This cute animal is perfect for greeting cards for any occasion, as it looks appropriate in any setting.

Draw the base on a thick sheet of paper by drawing a frame and margins. Twist small rolls for lamb curls and flowers. Add missing details. That's all - you have an interesting and unique craft.

The simplest option, consisting of only 6 spirals, can be made even by a child.

There are countless compositions. Everything is up to your imagination.

To add brightness to the card, decorate it with rhinestones, sparkles, rain, etc.

You can create figures from dense spirals to decorate shelves or tables. The work is more painstaking, but it's worth it. A handmade item will surprise your guests and delight you for a very long time.

Unique decorative elements will always be in fashion and will not become obsolete.

Lovely sheep in quilling style

There is nothing complicated in this work. Plus, it will take very little time, but you will be pleased with the result of the work.

To make it you will need colored paper, a field background with the sky (although you can use any other), cardboard, glue, a black felt-tip pen for outlining the face, and two sheets of white paper. Although it is not necessary to use colored paper (which will then have to be cut into thin strips), it is possible to use the quilling paper itself.

Before you start working, you need to decide on the color scheme. We decided to use these colors: white, black, red, dark and light green, orange. Now you need to make the base itself. To do this, you and I will need a sheet of cardboard, on which we will glue the background of the field along with the sky using glue. When the background is pasted, we put it aside (in the meantime it will dry thoroughly and will not be lumpy) and begin twisting various parts from pre-cut strips.

First we take white strips, the width of which is approximately 0.5 mm and begin to twist, giving the strip the shape of a circle. When they are twisted, we simply glue them at the end so that they do not unwind. These parts should be of different sizes. We will need approximately 70 of them. Although their number will also depend on the size of the product. Wrap it up and put it aside.

Now we twist the parts from the black stripes. We need 7 of them. We also glue them at the end and give them the shape of a triangle.

But then we’ll make eyes from two black stripes. We’ll just give them the shape of a small circle and glue them well at the end. Then, in the same way as we did with white stripes, we will make parts from green and red stripes.

When everything is ready, let's start forming. In order for it to turn out very beautifully, we will first make a sketch on a sheet of white paper. Then on another sheet we will draw a head using a black felt-tip pen and cut it out, then paste it onto the background itself. And let's start gluing the parts on it. First, we glue white pieces on top in the shape of a circle and two black pieces on the sides. And last but not least, the eyes themselves and the mouth, which is cut out from a piece of red paper. It will roughly look like this.

The head is ready, let's make the body. To do this, we also glue a small circle on the background (we will have it cut out of white paper in advance) and glue white parts onto it one by one. And we will glue a black tail to the back.

We have the base ready. But in order to make it look even more beautiful from black paper, we make small strips (they are 2-3 cm long) and glue them to the bottom along with the triangle-shaped parts. Everything should turn out just like in the picture.

But on the bottom we glue light green and green parts. We apply them the way you like. Their number will depend on you.

And to make it look much more beautiful on the field, we make a flower meadow. First, we cut out 5 cm long strips of green paper and glue them, and on top we attach a red and orange piece. It should not be round or even, we must give it the shape of a triangle. To do this, simply gently press on both sides, release and glue on top.

To make it look even brighter, you can decorate it with rhinestones or glitter glue.

The result will pleasantly surprise you!

If you have recently started quilling or this is your first time, it will be useful to familiarize yourself with the terminology and basics of this technique. We invite you to watch the video tutorial.

Practice creating simple decor. It can be used as decoration for future paintings.
