The body of a horse is made from cucumbers, and the legs are made from carrots. It took Sveta a long time to select carrots of the same length for her legs. And so that the horse would not be lonely, they harnessed it to a carriage made of zucchini, in which they put the groom-pepper, drawing him a mustache and gluing hair from yarn, and a carrot-wife, which was decorated with white hairpins. The carriage was also decorated with bows and flowers. Sveta wove a colored harness for a horse from rubber bands. They also found heart-shaped potatoes. Send your photos

Do you also make beautiful crafts? Send photos of your work. We will publish the best photos and send you a certificate of participation in the competition.

Greetings, my dears! You and I fully immersed ourselves in autumn worries: we made preserves for the winter (compotes, preserves, pickles). But since September 1, new concerns have come to all homes where there are children. They are connected to a kindergarten and school. And I myself know firsthand how unexpected it is to always hear from a teacher or teacher that you need to bring autumn crafts from vegetables or fruits. Because you need to take part in an exhibition on the theme “Autumn”. And the care of moms and dads begins. They think about what they can do that is quick, beautiful and simple. Vegetables and fruits are taken from the cabinets. Each fruit undergoes careful selection, and the head of the family goes to the neighbors or simply looks for a suitable idea on the Internet. In general, you definitely won’t be bored.

I want to make this task easier for parents and have made a large selection of photographs of various ideas and crafts made from fruits. There are easier options, but there are also more complex ones. When you need to gather all your neatness to make it beautiful. But the chance of getting some kind of nomination immediately increases.

Thank you in advance to all the parents, grandparents, and brothers and sisters who share their creativity on social networks and the Internet in general. Thanks to your desire to show joint creativity on one of those sleepless nights, other parents get a lot of new ideas for their crafts.

Let's look at craft options by type of vegetable. There are a lot of ideas and often, in addition to the fruit itself, you need to take a wire, a toothpick, paper or fabric. You can create an individual fairy tale character, or you can create an entire composition.

Pumpkin crafts

The easiest way is to make a recognizable character from cartoons and fairy tales. And often all you need is paint. You can also print some elements on a printer and stick them on the character.

A cute minion for your attention. There are toothpicks stuck on the top of the head, and a string instead of handles.

The Mouse Family also looks very memorable. The ears are made of colored cardboard. And stuck into the pumpkin using skewers. They are sold at most hardware stores. You can use any thick paints. But, if your craft will delight children on the street. Then coat it with varnish.

The boys come in to make this ninja turtle. I think that dad will not refuse to help his son in this venture.

Simple cute faces that for some reason remind me of the Scarecrow from the fairy tale about the Emerald City.

The creators of the cartoon “Smeshariki” helped us, parents, a lot. After all, there are as many as ten round characters. They can all be made from vegetables: potatoes, pumpkin or cabbage.

In front of you is Kopatych in a hat with autumn leaves.

Another cute face with sad eyes. All additional parts can be made from plasticine or paper. You can glue them on with double-sided tape. Sunflower flowers, artificial and live grass are used to decorate the hat.

By the way, you can use felt for the sides of the hat, eyes and nose.

I also found this wise owl interesting. Instead of eyes, you can use small squash or heads of garlic.

In order for the fake to last longer, the pulp and seeds are removed from it.

More character options. I think that making them will take no more than an hour of parental time.

Unusual ideas of black cats, mice and hares also spark the imagination. No additional tools are needed here; you don’t even always need a knife.

These are great examples for developing children's imagination. How to look at an ordinary product and see an animal in it.

If you try a little longer, you can sculpt the Cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland.

Now let's move away from the heroes and move on to the compositions. This is how pumpkins make very beautiful houses.

These crafts take longer to make, but you can make a fairytale hobbit hole.

And in this house live creatures made of bulbs.

For happy parents of daughters, there is an idea that does not depend on time - this is a carriage for Cinderella.

You can use absolutely anything for decoration: beads, leaves, berries and ribbons.

Another composition option is to make a basket or vase for other fruits and flowers. In autumn there are a lot of different buds: asters, dahlias, gladioli, September flowers and others. Let's make an autumn bouquet and put it in a pumpkin vase.

Use ranetki, rowan and different colors of leaves. A bouquet of red, yellow, green and orange leaves will look so beautiful.

I couldn't get past this honey lover. I think he looks a lot like Winnie the Pooh.

Well, with your preschooler you can make Tortilla the turtle from the fairy tale about Pinocchio. You can also use assorted vegetables: carrots and potatoes. Moreover, they are attached in such a way that all the media are covered, which means that the darkened pulp will not be visible and the craft will remain bright and beautiful for a long time.

You can also make a duck. Sometimes the very shape of a vegetable reminds us of something. The main thing is to understand what exactly))

Look, nature did everything for us. The main thing is to give the right features and you will already have a beautiful goose with beads made of rowan berries.

Ideas from zucchini

You can combine vegetables. Let's say take a zucchini and a small pumpkin. And from these vegetables, the parents were able to come up with snails like these.

You make a shape, and let the child decorate the “shell”, make horns and eyes. So, there is a job for everyone.

How about such a simple but very interesting pig?

Or here's Daddy Pig. The main thing is that he stays on his short legs.

Another version of a pig with ears and a tail made of paper. And instead of a spout they attached half a Kinder egg.

I found a couple of ideas for zucchini whales. Look how simple it is and without unnecessary details. The fins and tail are made from pea pods, and instead of a water fountain, you can attach a stem of parsley or dill.

Or you can cut it all out of cardboard, as the authors of this kitten did.

There are ideas for airplanes and ships for boys. By the way, a similar airplane can be made from a cucumber.

And seat the crocodile Gena in the pilot’s seat. This craft surprised me a little with its red beet star. Oh, and these parents are inventors!

Here Gena is made from zucchini, not cucumber. And next to it is a pumpkin Cheburashka and a squash tree. And tangerines complete the plot. How can we do without them if we recreate a fairy tale?

How do you like the ship? I think that the child will not want to take it to kindergarten, but will start playing corsairs at home. Cabbage sails always catch the wind, and a carrot rudder never goes astray.

Another idea with Smeshariki, who went on a journey in zucchini cars.

You can send such a donkey to the exhibition. He is carrying a full basket of autumn fruits.

My daughter loves the resilient snowman Olaf. Apparently, he won the hearts of many girls, since his parents sculpt him from a zucchini. And how similar it is to the original is just a sight for sore eyes.

Previously, we made a penguin for kindergarten. But you can repeat it from vegetables.

You can make simple things that will look like fairy tales. For example, these shoes or sandals.

Oh, and here the mother clearly tried and reproduced those happy days when her baby was still sleeping in his crib.

Idea with a bunch of cabbage. With the right approach, the result was a duck.

Now let's move on to the blue ones, from which you can make all the ideas that were shown above.

Eggplant ideas

The color of eggplant immediately gives a certain direction to the imagination. And I came across a lot of options for whales and penguins from this vegetable.

Look how similar it is to real birds. They just correctly conveyed the habits of these creatures.

Eggplant and potato friends.

Another idea for a little penguin from the cartoon “Madagascar”. The same fearless gaze and defiance of fate.

If you master the art of carving (vegetable carving), then you can safely sculpt such a zebra. An important condition here will be the presence of special tools that easily cut the skin and have narrow, sharp blades.

The King Whale is swimming in the sea. And your baby will really like it.

Is it difficult for you to make a poodle? With a bell pepper bow and a cauliflower face.

Another simple craft for kindergarten or elementary school in the form of a helicopter. The propeller is made of carrots and is held in place by toothpicks.

Let's move on to the next vegetables.

Several variations of carrots

Carrots are often used to make parts for other crafts. But it can itself present interesting forms. How do you like a giraffe with matchstick horns? Very cute.

Or a horse with an onion-like mane. All parts are held on with toothpicks.

Another unusual idea in the form of a goldfish.

From cabbage

You can make cute rabbits or a baby elephant from white cabbage. Beetroot is suitable for the head.

Here is another cute little animal from two heads of cabbage.

The bouncing bunny with cucumber ears will definitely captivate the teacher with her sweet smile. Only it will be a little heavy for a child, after all, two heads of cabbage.

Here's another little rabbit with potato legs. The nose is made from a tomato, and the eyes are made from boiled eggs. They can be replaced with an onion.

Cute ideas for poodles made from cauliflower sprigs.

The inflorescences themselves are very reminiscent of lamb's wool. So let's reproduce it.

Here is a sheep standing in a green clearing.

The muzzle can be made from potatoes, peppers or carrots.

Even champignon mushrooms can serve as a face for a cute animal.

It’s a pity that we already ate all our cauliflower after cooking it.

From corn

An ear of corn costs 20 rubles in September. I think it could make a very inexpensive craft. What can you do? Well, for example, a rocket.

Or a horse that grazes on a bow.

Dear bunny. I apologize for the quality of the photo, but I really liked the idea.

What do you think of minions in denim sundresses? I think it turned out very funny.

And such an animal? He looks a lot like a squirrel.

You just need to make sure that the corn is fresh, otherwise the grains may fall out and the craft will not be so neat.

From potatoes

Piglets made from tubers and plasticine are very similar to real pigs.

And even if you don’t have time at all, you do have a healthy sense of humor. Make a family like this. After all, the main thing is the idea and presentation, it is the freshness and unusualness of the craft that fascinates.

The bizarre shapes of the tubers can be very reminiscent of some kind of animal. For example, if you combine two potatoes, you can get a dog like this.

Or a heroic horse.

I also found this funny hippopotamus.

From cucumbers

A little higher we saw a crocodile made from a cucumber, but you can also make a shark.

Master class on lemon mice for kindergarten

For small children it is difficult to come up with compositions with a lot of decorations and details. I would like to invite you to make a little yellow mouse out of a lemon with your baby.

Only mom works with sharp objects. And even a three-year-old child can insert parts into the slots.

We will need:

  • lemon,
  • 2 clove inflorescences,
  • wire or thick thread.

First, cut a quarter of the lemon lengthwise. This is how we made the base so that the mouse’s body would not fall. We cut off the zest from a small part so that we have enough for small ears and a tail.

From one edge of the lemon, where we have a sharp tip, we stick a clove. She acts as our eyes.

We make a slit in the peel and insert the ears. Attach the tail to the body with a toothpick.

The antennae can be made with wire by simply piercing the muzzle right through. Or you can make them from thread by stitching the fruit with a needle.

That's the whole craft. Fast and interesting.

Video on making crafts from vegetables

For joint creativity, I selected two videos. See how a cucumber crocodile is made.

I thank you for your attention. And I will be glad if you find the right solution here and save your time.

Today we will talk about how to make beautiful children's crafts from vegetables and fruits for school and kindergarten with your own hands. Why do we love autumn? One of the reasons is the long-awaited one. When the summer heat begins to fade, it becomes cold and rainy outside, delicious, juicy fruits and vegetables delight the eye and encourage something new and creative. This is not surprising, because in the fall nature is so beautiful that we are inspired to create something.

You can collect bouquets of leaves or find the last beautiful flower and dry it in a book, or you can do something nice for your children by making children's crafts from the same collected fruits and vegetables! This is truly an amazing activity, because we are used to using food for its intended purpose - to eat it, but food can not only saturate the stomach, but also please the eye. We will present to you some types of beautiful fakes made from vegetables and fruits with our own hands, let your child also be involved in the manufacturing process, but remember that in this kind of fakes you need to skillfully work with a knife and other sharp equipment, so it is better for the child to work under the supervision of adults . And so let's get started, let's move on to learning how to make crafts from vegetables and fruits for school and kindergarten that you can do with your own hands.

DIY crafts from vegetables and fruits

Now we will bring to your attention a large number of crafts that you can make from fruits and vegetables with your own hands for children for kindergarten or school. Let's move on to practice.

The first children's apple craft that we will make ourselves, which we will tell you about, is called “Men made of apples.” In order to make them, we will need large apples, some pumpkin seeds, toothpicks and a knife. Manufacturing:

  • Take two such apples so that one is larger than the other, and place it on top of each other (the larger one is down, the smaller one is on top). Then carefully secure the fruit with a toothpick. The body of our little man is ready!
  • Cut 4 small pieces from another apple. Two of them will be the legs of the man, and the remaining 2, respectively, will be the hands. Also use toothpicks to attach the body parts to the torso.
  • Next, take a smaller apple and cut it in half. One of the halves will serve as a hat.
  • And finally, we take pumpkin seeds and use them to make eyes and a nose. The mouth can be made separately by cutting off a piece from an apple, or you can carefully cut it out with a knife right on the “head”.

This homemade fake apple for kindergarten and school is ready! Let's move on to the second children's craft.

Giraffe made from carrots or potatoes

The second children's craft that we will make from vegetables includes potatoes or carrots. From these vegetables we will make a giraffe with our own hands from carrots and potatoes. So, the cooking method: take two potatoes of unequal size. The larger potato is the body of the giraffe, and the other one is the head. We make the animal's neck from a carrot, the end of which needs to be cut off. Secure the torso and neck with the same regular toothpicks. Giraffe ears from carrots can be made from seeds, or from matches, carefully sticking them into the “head” of the animal. The best and easiest way to make giraffe eyes is from cereal; to do this, simply press it into the potatoes; in this case, buckwheat is suitable as a cereal.

You can also make a giraffe from vegetables with your own hands, using only carrots. To do this, as you might have guessed, you will need 7 carrots (4 for the legs and one each for the neck, torso and head). Secure the entire structure with toothpicks and our homemade carrot giraffe is ready!

Pear mouse - children's craft

Let's return to fruits again, only this time to pears. The next DIY pear craft is called « Mouse from a pear." The list of ingredients differs from the previous ones only in that, in addition to everything, we will need a small piece of wire. Production: take a pear and make two small cuts at the top on different sides, and then bend them slightly. These will be the ears of our mouse. Now let's start preparing the eyes. We take pumpkin seeds, draw pupils on them with a black felt-tip pen, make small cuts on the pear where we want to place the eyes, and insert our finished eyes there. All that remains is to make the tail. To do this, carefully stick the wire into the pear and do not forget to leave part of it outside, as if it were a tail. A couple of minutes and the pear mouse craft is ready for kindergarten!

People made of pears

Let's not move away from the pear and consider another type of apple craft in the form of little men. Let's return to the same little men that we made from apples. Only with pears everything is much simpler! If you want to cheer yourself up, you can make a cheerful little man using a minimum amount of products! Take a pear and a knife. Carefully cut out the eyes, nose and mouth - you're done! You can also attach arms and legs using toothpicks. However, if this is too simple an option for you and you want something more original, you can add other components to the pear. We will need another pear, grapes and banana.

Production: cut two circles from a banana and draw two dots with a black felt-tip pen - these are the eyes. We attach them to the pear using toothpicks. As you probably already guessed, the grape will play the role of the nose, and the circle cut from the second pear is the hat. You can also carefully cut out a smile with a knife. That's all, the pear in the shape of a man was made by ourselves.

DIY vegetable crafts - rat Larisa made from radish

The next craft is called “Rat Lariska”. Yes, just like the old woman Shapoklyak! To make a radish rat with your own hands, we will need radishes, lettuce, radishes, several olives, and, of course, toothpicks. And now the preparation steps:

  • Wash and dry the radishes properly. This is the body of the future rat. We remove unnecessary leaves, except for the place where we will have the tail, and we remove the roots, except for the front, where the antennae will be.
  • Then cut off the front part of the radish and use a toothpick to secure the radish, the nose of our Lariska, to the cut place. You can also stick a couple of toothpicks next to the radish, this will be a mustache.
  • In order to make ears for a rat from leaves, it is necessary, as in other fakes, to simply make notches on the body in the appropriate places, and carefully place and secure lettuce leaves in them.
  • Finally, we make the rat’s eyes. To do this, cut the olives in half and attach them to the body with toothpicks. Ready!

Teapot and cup made of apple and orange

Did you know that you can make a real tea set with your own hands using apples and oranges? Let's try! To do this, you only need two fruits and a knife. Using a knife, carefully remove the pulp from an apple or orange - it will be a mug or a cup, depending on what you want. Use your imagination and you can even carve intricate designs on your dishes!

Yes, yes, we forgot about such a beautiful product as eggplant. Let's make beautiful baby penguins from eggplant! There is nothing complicated, we will need a couple of eggplants and, as in the previous craft, a knife. Penguin eyes can be made from beads. Cut the eggplant in half, the two halves are two separate bodies. We attach the eyes and make cuts where the penguins are supposed to have wings. You can use other vegetables in this fake, for example, carrots will serve as legs and nose, and peppers will serve as wings.

Cabbage duck and eggplant

How to make a duck from cabbage and eggplant with your own hands as a craft for children in kindergarten, for example. To do this, we simply take a curved vegetable and one head of Chinese cabbage. The cabbage will serve as the body for the duck, and the eggplant, as you may have guessed, will serve as the neck. We secure the products with toothpicks, and the eyes and beak can be made from the same pepper.

From eggplant you can make not only animal crafts, but also home furnishings, such as a vase! To do this, take a medium-sized eggplant, carefully remove the pulp from it, and use a knife to give your vase an interesting and original pattern on the outside!

Using zucchini and your sleight of hand, you can make a shark model as a DIY craft! To do this, just take a knife to cut out the fins and tail! If you don't have zucchini on hand, replace it with a large cucumber.

From the same zucchini, make beautiful shoes at home! But you shouldn’t walk around in them, let them be just decoration. Take the zucchini and carefully cut out the flesh, leaving only room for the strap. Such a fake as shoes made from zucchini, made with your own hands, will be more to the liking of girls.

  • Peel all the skin from the zucchini.
  • Cut the cucumber into circles of medium diameter and take 5 circles.
  • One circle, cut in half, can be used as ears.
  • The other two circles are the pig's nose.
  • And secure the rowan berries in place of the eyes. The piglet is ready!

Go ahead. Let's return to children's crafts made from cucumbers. You can use them to make a wonderful cucumber train yourself! To do this, take 4 cucumbers. Two of them are carriages. Attach the third one to the top of the first carriage for beauty, but cut the fourth one into round pieces - these are the future wheels of the train. That's it, all that remains is to secure the ingredients with toothpicks.

Racing cars, crafts for kids

Using the same cucumbers, you can make racing cars for kindergarten and school. Boys will like this kind of work. We will need cucumbers and carrots. Cucumbers are machines themselves. You can use a knife to give them the appropriate shape, and the carrots will serve as wheels. And, of course, the job won’t be complete without toothpicks, which will secure the frame and wheels together.

How to make flowers from vegetables

For the next vegetable flower craft we will need carrots and corn. We will make beautiful children's flowers. We take a carrot and, using a knife, give it the shape of a flower, carefully cutting out the petals. These are the buds of our future flowers made from vegetables. After this, we place them on toothpicks - stems. Make more of these flowers and you will get a beautiful bouquet. Carrots can be replaced with corn. It is enough to simply cut it into round pieces for flower cups. That's it, the flowers made from vegetables with your own hands are ready.

Making a craft with your own hands: cut the pear in half, slightly cutting off the very end. After this, stick toothpicks into it, they will serve as needles. Well, of course, use our sugared cherries for the nose, and raisins for the eyes. This is how a DIY hedgehog made from pears and grapes turned out for a kindergarten or school!

We have already made Cheburashka from potatoes, but we forgot about his friend Gena. In order to make Gena the crocodile from cucumbers as a DIY craft, we will need cucumbers. We take a curved cucumber that will serve as the body. Cut the second cucumber in half: one half is the crocodile’s head, and the other is the tail. For the half that will serve as the head and mouth, carefully use a knife to shape the teeth, cutting out small triangles. Using the third cucumber, cut out Gene's legs. All children love fairy tales. We think that any child will be interested in making some kind of fairy-tale character! We are sure that your imagination will help you with this, and we, in turn, invite you to make a Baba Yaga craft. And so what do we need and how to make a woman’s craft with our own hands. To do this we need 3 potatoes, 1 apple and 1 banana, our irreplaceable toothpicks, matches and, of course, a knife. Let's move on to the cooking process.

  • We take a large potato and make a mortar out of it. To do this, just carefully cut off a little of the top of the vegetable.
  • Then we make the body of Baba Yaga from smaller potatoes, and from the third we cut strips of medium diameter to make arms. Don't forget about the nose, the nose is also made from potatoes, a small piece is enough for this. Attach the arms to the body using a toothpick.
  • Next, take an apple. The apple should be smaller in size than all the potatoes, since it will be the future head. Using toothpicks, we attach a nose pre-made from potatoes to the head, and in place of the eyes, carefully pierce 2 matches with their heads forward. We similarly attach the head to the body with toothpicks.
  • We peel the banana and use the peel itself as Baba Yaga's hair.
  • The stupa is ready, only the broom remains! What is Baba Yaga without a broom? It is very simple to make, also using banana peels, only this time, starting from the tail. We attach the broom to one of the hands, and our fake is ready!

Winter is an equally wonderful time of year for children: New Year, you can go ice skating, play snowballs and make snowmen. But while it’s only autumn, you can “make” a snowman at home with your own hands from vegetables! Make your baby happy and give him the opportunity to remember winter fun. In order to make a snowman craft from vegetables, you will need 3 potatoes of different sizes, carrots, green peas, parsley, cucumbers and mayonnaise (or sour cream). So, the manufacturing method:

  • Boil the potatoes, peel them and fasten with toothpicks in descending order: the largest at the bottom, the smaller ones in the middle, and the smallest last.
  • Then cut out the snowman's hat, hands and nose from the carrots. Secure your hands with toothpicks on the middle potato, and your nose, respectively, on the last, smallest one.
  • Make eyes and buttons from peas.
  • In order to diversify your vegetable craft and make it more realistic, take a plate, cut cucumbers into thin plastics and place them so that they cover the dish. Then place the finished snowman on them. Add mayonnaise or sour cream as snow on top. The real winter picture is ready! You can not only admire such a dish, but even eat it.

Bouquet of berries

You can make DIY crafts not only from fruits and vegetables, but also from berries! Here is one such example that we will now try to create. The next craft we will make at home is called “Sweet Bouquet of Years”. To make it, we will need the following ingredients: berries (cherries, strawberries and others), skewers (or the same toothpicks), any greens (dill or parsley). For decoration: tall glasses, beautiful napkins and, of course, salted dough. The process of making a bouquet of berries, craft:

  • First, prepare the bouquet support, and it will consist of salt dough. It is very easy to make: mix 1 tablespoon of flour, the same amount of salt, half a glass of water and half a tablespoon of sunflower oil. After this, knead the resulting dough thoroughly. It should turn out elastic and not stick to your hands, just like yeast. If this does happen, add a little water (maybe you just need to wet your hands and knead again). The base of the bouquet is ready.
  • Then we wrap the kneaded dough in a napkin so that the top of the wrapped bag is open. There we will stick the very component of the bouquet. Place the wrapped dough in a glass.
  • Let's start making a bouquet of berries in the form of a craft. You can start with any ingredients, such as cherries. Wash the berries thoroughly, dry them and carefully place them on skewers. Let these be, in a way, buds that have not yet opened. After you have secured the berries on wooden sticks, stick them into the dough that is in our glass in a chaotic manner. The main thing is that the end result is a beautiful composition.
  • Next, take the strawberries, wash and dry them, and then put them on other free skewers. It is recommended to put strawberries straight with leaves, so there is less chance that the berry will soften and slide down. That's it, now add the strawberries to the cherries. Place the skewers so that the berries do not interfere with each other and can stand freely, but at the same time, side by side.
  • And now the final part – the design. After we have stuck our “flowers” into the dough, the part not wrapped in a napkin still remains visible. We disguise it with our herbs (parsley or dill). It will be very good if, for example, the parsley is curly, just like flowers. Don’t be afraid to go overboard with green, it’s still a composition of colors.
  • The last step is to take the most beautiful napkin, pack a glass in it so that the napkin that is inside is not visible, and tie the dishes with a ribbon. This is the bouquet we got. We are sure that it will not only please the eye, but also whet the appetite! Those who come to visit you will definitely not refuse such a delicacy.

And finally. Crafts made from bananas for kindergartens and schools have become very popular. We suggest you make a dachshund from bananas with your own hands. For her body we will need a large banana, and for her head - a little smaller. Using a knife, you can make dog ears by carefully peeling off the peel and removing the pulp from this place, and, of course, do not forget about the eyes. Decorate them with raisins. That's it, man's faithful friend is ready! We also suggest that you read the article on the same topic, it is also very interesting and informative, there is something you can try to do yourself.

Purpose:
This master class is intended for high school children, teachers, parents and creative people. This design of dishes is suitable for any holiday, banquet and, simply, to improve the perception of food and good mood.

For decoration we will need:
Tomato, cucumber, lemon, orange, pear, apple, kiwi, onion, cutting board, 2 knives (large and small with teeth), 2 flat plates, towel.

Progress.

Carving(from English carving - "cutting out") - the art of artistic cutting of vegetables and fruits, as well as wood, ice and stones.
Advice for a beginner carvinger Not every fruit or vegetable is suitable for carving. So, for example, radishes should be large and bright, carrots should be even and smooth, oranges should be very fresh. It is better to take apples with smooth skin, cucumbers - smooth and with dark skin, pumpkins with rough skin have denser and easier-to-work with flesh. Decorations should match the dish in color, as well as taste. It is better to decorate meat dishes with cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, and seafood with lemons. Fruits will serve as an excellent decoration for dessert or as a delicacy in their own right. When choosing combinations of products, give preference to contrasting colors - the compositions will be more enchanting. Red, green, yellow are favorites. Fruits and vegetables for carving must be clean and dry. There must be a golden mean in everything. You should not overly decorate dishes - moderation is important in everything.

1) The first vegetable we’ll start with is the tomato. Cut it in half and cut off the unnecessary part.

2) Then use a sharp knife to thinly slice one of the tomato halves.

If it is small, then you can combine two chopped halves into one. As in the photo.

3) After this, we “stretch” the tomato as thin as possible and begin to twist it into flowers.

4) To carefully transfer the finished flower to a plate, you need to grab it with both hands, pressing it on all sides.

Ready! You can put a lettuce leaf on the bottom of the plate.

5) Our flower is missing something. You can add parsley or make cucumber bells. To do this, place a cucumber on your palm. Using a sharp small knife, pointing it towards yourself, we cut the cucumber in the shape of a petal, plunging the knife blade to the middle. Then, turning it, we cut two more petals.

6) You should get a bell with three petals. To separate the flower from the cucumber, you need to turn it slightly and it will fall off on its own.

Then you can continue in the same order until the cucumber runs out.

You can add strips of pepper or olives to the middle of the bells.

7) You can also cut thin strips of cucumber and fold it in half without breaking it to complement our dish.

8) Gradually we move on to the bow. What can be made from onions? We can make it into a water lily. To do this, you need to peel the onion and soak it in cold water so that we don’t cry. Then you need to cut it evenly with cloves, plunging the knife only to the middle. When finished, it will easily separate into two halves.

All parts of the onion must be removed and assembled to form a flower.

9) Our decoration for the dish is ready and you can add chopped vegetables or assorted sausages.

If you want to treat your guests to sandwiches, you can use the middle for a tomato flower.

10) The vegetable decoration is ready. Now you can start decorating the fruit plate. To do this, we need to cut half an orange as described above.

11) We do the same with lemon.

By the way, lemon flower goes very well with fish products.

12) Next, cut the kiwi, as in the photo. You can decorate a plate or place it like this on top of fruit.

13) Right now it’s my favorite. Apple and pear wings. We will need halves of fruit.

Visually divide the apple in half. I cut out a strip for you, for clarity. On one of the halves we find the middle and immerse the knife, slightly deepening it. To make it easier to imagine, we seem to be cutting off the peel. You need to get half a petal.

Then on the other side we do the same, but we cut exactly to the corners made. You need to be careful not to cut off excess. The result is a leaf.

Stepping back from the cut 2-3mm, cut out the next leaf.

We cut until we reach our “border” of the apple.

Now we connect all the parts and move them apart so that we get a wing.

14) These wings look like petals, so they can be used in cooking to decorate any dishes. To prevent the apple from darkening, you need to sprinkle it with lemon or dip it in acidified water.

Fruit crafts are a very popular form of creativity. Children especially like this technique. Of course, in the process you can enjoy delicious apples, oranges, bananas or something else, and the work itself is very exciting. This type of handicraft is similar to a game with tasty prizes.

Most often, fruit crafts are needed to participate in autumn competitions for school or kindergarten. However, they are relevant all year round, since interesting figurines are an excellent decoration for the holiday table. We invite you to get acquainted with different options and try to make something unusual from fruits with your own hands.

We have previously told you what crafts you can make from vegetables. If you and your child are preparing for a competition, use those ideas too: combine an unusual composition depending on what you have. If you often organize beautiful celebrations, we advise you to master the carving technique - creating beautiful carved figures from vegetables or fruits.

How to prepare fruit?

If you take up fruit crafts, you need to learn how to select them correctly. Always try to use only those fruits whose integrity is not compromised. It is advisable for everything to be unripe.

Stock up on lemon juice. If you are cutting apples or pears for crafts, spray them generously immediately after cutting. Never use overripe bananas - they will “destroy” all the other fruits in the composition, as they release special substances that help the rest of the fruits ripen.

If you decide to take a fruit craft to a competition at school or kindergarten, make it the day before the work is due. You can practice in advance, but do the final version the day before. If the craft contains chopped apples, it is better to add them in the morning.

The best way to hold fruits together is with toothpicks. Stock up on a large pack in advance.

Apple caterpillars

Even a child can master this craft. Feel free to bring it to the competition if necessary. Also, fruit caterpillars can become a delicious table decoration.

We will need:

  • carrot;
  • grape;
  • Rowan;
  • safety pins;
  • marker;
  • any decor.

We fasten the apples from large to small one after another. The apple head is attached to the top with 3-4 toothpicks. Eyes can be made from safety pins by adding a pea or berry. Or just stick on an artificial version. Complete the faces with a permanent marker.

We use grapes to decorate horns or create noses. The legs can be made from carrots or grapes. It would be beautiful to wear a rowan necklace or a simple ribbon around your neck - we need to hide the junction of two apples.

Decorate the apple caterpillars with any decor. For this you can use paper hats, beads, dry leaves or something else.

Tangerine birds

This fruit craft can also become either a decoration for a holiday or an entry for a competition. If you choose the second option, avoid using pineapple.

We will need:

  • tangerines;
  • a pineapple;
  • blueberry;
  • radish;
  • plum.

We make the main body from two tangerines. We connect them with a pineapple to make the structure stable. We cut the peel of another tangerine with thin scissors so that we get wings. The face can be made from radishes, blueberries and a safety pin.

Radishes can be replaced with cardboard or banana. We make hairstyles from something bright: plum, pepper, apple or something else. We make the beak from carrots or cardboard.

Make two birds and sit them next to each other. This fruit craft touches, causes delight and a smile. Well, making it with your own hands is easier than it seems - you just need to start.

Watermelon frog

Usually, baskets or boats are made from watermelon. They cut it in half, scooped out the pulp, washed it, dried it, added skewers - that’s the whole structure. What about a funny, original craft that you can’t help but laugh at?

We will need:

  • watermelon;
  • lime;
  • grape.

Make a hole in the watermelon using a sharp knife. Detach the part so that it looks like the fruit craft in the photo. Now we need to eat a little, because we don’t need the inside.

Leave some of the pulp if you are making the frog for a short time. If you do not throw away the craft today, scrape out the inside with a spoon, and then wash and dry.

We form legs from the cut part of the watermelon. We attach them to toothpicks. To plant the frog, you need to make the bottom a little flat. We make the eyes from halves of lime and grapes.

If you decide to surprise your guests with an unusual serving of fruit, you can “fill the belly” of the frog with grapes, pieces of melon or something else. Insert thin long skewers so that no one gets dirty, or provide forks.

Apple bear

Here you need to master carving a little - you will have to cut out some details. This craft is not intended for long-term storage. Usually children like such master classes, because during work a lot of unnecessary edible parts appear.

We will need:

  • grape;
  • blueberry;
  • strawberry.

The lower apple looks like a thick core with a wide cap. Small details are best cut with a thin special knife. But if you don’t have one, you can use a vegetable peeler. Attach everything onto small skewers. Add half a grape and berries for the eyes. Decorate the craft with strawberries or give the bear a small plum.

If you don't have experience, you may have to do a lot of fiddling around. If small parts do not work out, you can make them from other fruits. For example, bear paws are cut from orange peel, and ears from grapes.

banana dolphin

This fruit craft is suitable for little ones. It is especially good if you want to feed your child a banana, but he does not agree. Also, such a craft is perfect for kindergarten work.

We will need:

  • banana;
  • carnation;
  • marker.

You need to choose a banana that is as curved as possible. Preferably greenish. Trim the tail so that it can be rounded. To make the tail, cut and peel back the peel and trim off the excess banana. The easiest way to make eyes is from clove buds. Draw a smile with a marker.

If you need to stick the dolphin into something, you can use a pineapple wheel or a watermelon cap.

Lemon mouse

This craft is also suitable for kids. The child can master it on his own: you only need help with the cutting part.

We will need:

  • lemon;
  • dill;
  • carnation.

Cut off the side of the fruit so that it becomes stable. Do not throw away this part. You can cut out two ears and a thin tail from it. We make the mouse's eyes from cloves, and the antennae from dill or any other cuttings.

If you are doing work for a competition for a kindergarten, use several fruits and make a whole family of little mice with your own hands. You can use lemons of different sizes or add limes.

Orange paintings

To make beautiful crafts from orange peels, you will have to eat a lot of fruit. Nice start to work, isn't it?

We will need:

  • oranges;
  • cookie cutters.

The peel must first be dried in the oven or naturally. When it becomes pliable and a little “dried”, you can start working.

Using cookie cutters it is easy to make very beautiful crafts from this fruit. Just press them down and remove the excess. You can then pierce the peel to assemble a garland, or leave the piece to make an applique.

Using scissors, you can make even more interesting crafts that are perfect for a fruit composition competition in kindergarten or school. It is very convenient to first draw the outline with a marker and then cut it out.

Practice, imagine and get started! At the same time, strengthen your immunity.

Evil apples

Does your child like to play angry birds? Then it's time to make his favorite characters from his favorite fruits with his own hands.

We will need:

  • markers or acrylic paints;
  • paper;
  • any decor.

You can draw faces for fruit crafts on paper if you plan to eat them later. If you are preparing a craft for school, you can use acrylic paints or markers. By the way, acrylic can be easily replaced with school putty (the kind that corrects mistakes in notebooks).

Choose materials depending on your goals. Well, you can easily draw the famous faces of angry birds.

Grape man

Such a little man can be used as an independent craft if the child takes it to kindergarten. Or as part of a larger composition. Well, if you decide to play, make the little man company from another fruit or from grapes of a different color.

We will need:

  • grape;
  • acorn.

We fasten the grapes together using halves of toothpicks. The acorn must be separated from the cap. Make the eyes of the man from grape cuttings.

Similar people can be easily made from berries, plums or cherry tomatoes.

Apple pig

This Lucky Pig is one of the best fruit crafts to make with kids. Making it is simple, tasty and fun.

We will need:

  • plum.

We use one apple completely, cut the second in half. From one half we will make a head, from the second - ears and paws. We will make a nose from a banana and plant it on grape cuttings or cloves. You can take any other fruit.

We make eyes and a smile from plums cut into strips. To strengthen them, you need to make small cuts in the apple.

If you plan to take this craft to a kindergarten or school, it is better to take other fruits or vegetables. Or use the entire top apple, form the legs from carrots, and form the ears from orange peel.

We hope that you have found interesting fruit crafts for yourself or your children in this collection. Many of them can be adapted to, if relevant. For example, add a haystack to a pig, fallen leaves and dry branches to the birds, and sit a grape man among the moss. In short, crafts made from fruits and vegetables will always benefit from diversifying them with natural materials.
